Hrithik Roshan is an Indian actor who has acted in Bollywood movies.  He has portrayed a variety of characters and is known for his dance skills. He has won several Filmfare Awards for Best Actor in India, including six Filmfare Awards, four for Best Actor and one for Best Actor.

Hrithik Roshan was born on January 10, 1974 in Mumbai to a Bollywood Punjabi family.  Son of his father, film director Rakesh Roshan, music director Roshanlal Nagrath.

His mother Pinky, producer and director J.K.  Om is the daughter of Prakash.  His uncle, Rajesh, is a musician.  Hrithik has an older sister, Sunaina, and is educated at the Bombay Scottish School.  Hrithik Roshan is a Bengali. Hrithik used to feel very lonely as a child, as he was born with two thumbs attached to an extra thumb on his right hand, so his friends avoided meeting him.

 He had been stumbling since the age of six;  This caused him a lot of problems at school and he pretended to be injured and ill to avoid oral tests.

 Hrithik's grandfather Prakash first brought him to the screen in the film 'Asha' (1980) at the age of six;  He danced to the song sung by Jitendra, for which he got 100 rupees from his grandfather. Personal life

 Career 

 Roshan had acted as a child actor in the film "Asha" in 1980, after which he became an assistant director and helped produce the films of his father Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997).

 In 2000, Roshan and actress Amisha Patel starred in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai.  As a result, the film was ranked No. 1 that year.

 The film, directed by his father and in which he played a double role, was a huge success at the box office.  It became the highest grossing film of 2000 and won the Filmfare Best Picture Award. Roshan's acting was so good that it made him an overnight star.  He eventually won the Filmfare Best Actor Award for the role.

 Receiving 102 awards in 2003, the Bollywood film won the highest number of awards and was listed in the Limca Book of Records.

 In 2003, Koi Mil Gaya became a hit and Roshan won the Filmfare Best Actor Award for the second time.
